This course is intended for the entry-level close protection specialist and will be delivered by industry professionals with public and private sector experience. The course is designed to provide participants with an understanding of the skills and protocols required to provide professional and effective personal protection in the Canadian private sector.

LOCATION: The course will be hosted at: RIM Park / Manulife Financial Complex, 2001 University Ave E, Waterloo, ON N2K 4K4

TRAINING DETAILS

Participants should have foundational knowledge of the criminal code and provincial statute authorities for powers of arrest and use of force as it pertains to security guards and private investigators. The defensive tactics, edged weapons and firearm response options training can be physically demanding with repetitive training drills and exercises. Participants should be in reasonably good physical condition to meet the demands and standards required for this course.

Participants must pass both a written exam and physical skills evaluation in order to successfully complete the course.

Participants are encouraged to arrive approximately 15 minutes early.
