Tactical Handcuffing Level 1 and Level 2 are courses provided to train officers and guards in the proper application of both regular and flex-cuffs (police only).
Training makes us all safer. For some Law Enforcement personnel, UDTTS courses will be a refresher with some added subject control techniques. For others, this will be a good foundation for them to gain self-control and confidence. Regardless of your level of experience, this training will make you safer, both physically and legally. Your confidence will help you in those tense situations and reduce public complaints.
Professional Development
Many times, Law Enforcement personnel do only what is required by their Police or Security service for defensive tactics, to meet their policy standards, usually on an annual basis. If that is what you choose to do as an officer or administrator that is your choice.
History and statistics have shown that the more training personnel get, the less Use of Force issues from the public are raised, and officers experience the less time off due to injuries. When the math is all done and the safety of the public and officers are taken into account, investing in training makes sense.
As an administrator, if you want your officers better trained to enjoy the benefits that additional training provides then Universal Defensive Tactics Training Services is for you. Provide that extra training that is going to reduce legal issues, increase officer safety, and create a better working environment for your staff. Meeting the standards is good. Exceeding the standards is better.
As an officer, get that extra training that you know you need and is related to your job. Many other sports will keep you in shape, but do they provide you with the necessary skills in defensive tactics? It is a small investment to be safer on the job and out of the courtroom. Isn’t it worth it?
